    About the role#

    This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Automotive Finance team at Scotiabank. You will gain exposure to credit analysis and financial reporting while working with a team in Anjou. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete the spreading of interim financial statements using Moody’s Risk Analyst.
    • Monitor client account health by performing trend analysis.
    • Determine client risk ratings based on your findings.
    • Work with syndicate banks to gather due diligence and information for analysis.
    • Prepare reports using Excel or PowerPoint.
    • Provide administrative support for credit and fulfillment tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on Business or Automotive studies.
    • A genuine interest in the automotive industry.
    • Intermediate skills in accounting and financial statement analysis.
    • Basic credit knowledge, including financial modeling and risk assessment.
    • Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities at once.
    • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
    • High proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
    • Fluency in French and sufficient knowledge of English to collaborate with teams in Toronto and other English-speaking clients.

    • Location: Anjou, Quebec.
    • Term: January to April 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
