    About the role#

    The ASPIRE Commercial Banking program offers students hands-on experience within the Agriculture Banking division. You will work with teams that support Canadian farms, producers, and agribusinesses. This role focuses on building your financial and credit analysis skills while you learn about the factors that influence client performance in the agricultural sector.

    What you'll do#

    • Support relationship teams with client research, financial analysis, and credit-related tasks.
    • Learn about agricultural operations and industry trends that impact client financial performance.
    • Conduct company and industry analysis to assist in credit and business decisions.
    • Help assess financing needs, risk considerations, and opportunities for agricultural clients.
    • Collaborate with partners across Agriculture Banking and the broader bank.
    • Build your analytical, communication, and professional judgment skills.
    • Champion a client-focused culture while considering the bank's risk appetite in daily decisions.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
    • Natural curiosity and an eagerness to learn about commercial banking.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Olds, Red Deer, and Vermilion, Alberta.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to August).
    • Status: Full-time, on-site, and paid.
