About the role#
The ASPIRE Commercial Banking program offers students hands-on experience within the Mid-Market team. You will work with professionals who support mid-sized businesses across various sectors, including retail, manufacturing, and technology. This role focuses on building your financial analysis and credit assessment skills while you learn how the Bank manages client needs alongside risk considerations.
What you'll do#
- Support client relationship teams with research, financial analysis, and administrative tasks.
- Conduct company and industry analysis to inform credit and business decisions.
- Build analytical and communication skills in a structured, collaborative environment.
- Learn how the Bank balances client needs with risk and operational considerations.
- Contribute to delivering timely, high-quality support on key projects.
- Partner across teams to help drive business outcomes and process improvements.
- Champion a client-focused culture to build and deepen relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Ensure that the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- A consistent demonstration of professionalism.
- Natural curiosity and an eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking.
