About the role#
This internship with the Roynat Capital Mid-Market Mergers and Acquisitions team offers hands-on experience in corporate finance. You will work with business owners and management teams to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. The role provides exposure to financial analysis, valuation concepts, and the advisory process throughout the transaction lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Research companies, industries, and markets to support strategic transaction opportunities.
- Assist with financial analysis, valuation exercises, and the creation of transaction materials.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction documentation.
- Analyze financial statements and business performance to evaluate potential opportunities and risks.
- Develop an understanding of how strategic transactions support business growth, succession planning, and long-term value creation.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various stages of a transaction.
- Ensure that the Bank's risk appetite and culture are considered in daily decisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional presentation skills and a consistent, professional demeanor.
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking.
- Advanced coursework in corporate finance, valuation, financial modeling, or investment analysis is an asset.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January to August).
- Status: Full-time, on-site, paid position.
