About the role#
This internship program offers students the opportunity to gain experience within the Commercial Banking division. You will work with teams that support medium-sized businesses across various sectors such as manufacturing, retail, technology, and professional services. You will contribute to credit analysis, financial assessments, and client relationship management while learning how the bank balances client needs with operational risks.
What you'll do#
- Support client relationship teams through financial research and analysis.
- Conduct business and sector analyses to inform credit and business decisions.
- Participate in the processing of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive business results.
- Promote a client-focused culture in all interactions.
- Ensure that risk appetite and risk management culture are integrated into daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in business, commerce, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
- Natural curiosity and a genuine interest in commercial banking.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and thrive in a structured environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 (January to August 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
