About the role#
This is a Winter 2027 internship within the Velocity program at Scotiabank. You will join a team of technical generalists and bankers to build solutions. This role offers the chance to learn and experiment across different areas of the bank.
What you'll do#
- Work with a team to deliver effective solutions.
- Identify and analyze business and technical requirements to create diagrams, flow charts, and documentation.
- Interpret and consolidate large amounts of information into actionable recommendations.
- Identify, improve, and implement processes.
- Experiment and learn throughout your term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Strong attitude, ownership, and opportunity (AOO).
- Experience drawing conclusions and providing actionable insights for data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing a project and ensuring deliverables are met.
- Database knowledge, including Postgres, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, or Tableau is an asset.
