About the role#
The GCM Banking group manages the performance and risk profile of a portfolio of financial institution clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, and governments. This internship provides exposure to the derivative, foreign exchange, commodity, fixed income, and equity businesses within Global Banking & Markets. You will receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and coaching throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Support new client business by analyzing financial information, counterparty risk profiles, and investment strategies.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of executive and risk summary reports for the GCM Banking portfolio.
- Help the team with credit-related requests, including client due diligence and regulatory analysis.
- Prepare summary charts and tables for credit submissions.
- Liaise with various business units and Global Risk Management teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, specifically in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- A strong record of academic and extracurricular achievement.
- A clearly defined interest in Global Capital Markets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
- A high level of energy and a desire to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
