About the role#
Our Construction Delay team investigates why major construction projects fall behind schedule or exceed budgets. You will work alongside experts in engineering, architecture, and accounting to uncover the story behind project timelines. This role involves reviewing project records, drawings, and data to determine the causes of delays on high-profile infrastructure, power, and utility projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn how to build, update, and analyze major construction project schedules.
- Use scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to explore project timelines.
- Review construction schedules, progress reports, and project records to identify key facts.
- Analyze large datasets to spot trends and patterns related to project outcomes.
- Help turn research and analysis into clear expert reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in New York, New York.
- The position follows a rolling term schedule.
- Travel may be required as needed, generally under 15 percent.
