About the role#
Silverado Contractors, Inc. offers an internship program for students majoring in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. This position provides hands-on experience by working with project teams on site. You will support project managers with daily operations and deliverables during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time role lasting between 6 and 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate field conditions and perform acceptance testing.
- Support quality assurance and quality control for engineering materials.
- Review project drawings and coordinate RFIs and contract changes.
- Track quantities and analyze productivity to improve operational efficiency.
- Help prepare and update project schedules.
- Assist with document control for submittals and design releases.
- Provide design assistance for temporary structures using computer-aided design tools.
- Communicate with subcontractors and verify contract payments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Construction Management, or similar program.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and project management software.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and self-motivate.
