About the role#
This internship provides experience in the food and beverage industry through a summer program in Rogers, Arkansas. You will work on real projects that address current department needs while learning the fundamentals of our business processes. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Complete a project that applies your academic skills to a business challenge and present your findings to the team and senior leaders.
- Perform daily tasks to gain an understanding of department operations.
- Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts and policies.
- Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems and company policies.
- Work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Experience in manufacturing or the poultry industry is a plus.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and travel depending on your assignment.
