About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in plant operations. You will work on real projects that address current facility needs while gaining a practical understanding of our processes. This position is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute a project tailored to your department that applies your academic skills.
- Present your project findings to the team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
- Perform daily tasks to learn the fundamentals of our operational processes.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, including USDA and FDA guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to policy and process discussions.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Agriculture.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work on your feet for several hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.
