About the role#
Soccer Shots Boise is hiring an intern to support our operations and lead soccer sessions for children ages 2 to 8. This role provides an opportunity to learn how to run a small business while gaining experience in coaching, sales, and administration. We are looking for someone available for 30 to 40 hours per week who can commit to working through the 2025 seasons.
What you'll do#
- Conduct soccer sessions for children ages 2 to 8, including field set-up and take-down.
- Design and implement marketing plans while assisting with sales and development initiatives.
- Help hire, evaluate, and train coaches and staff members.
- Coordinate seasonal preparation and execution for over 45 schools and 5 parks.
- Support the launch of our new registration system.
- Provide customer service to families and school partners.
- Represent the company at various events and programs.
- Learn the fundamentals of operating a small business, from sales to operations.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in working with children and playing sports.
- An energetic, responsible, and safety-conscious approach to your work.
- The ability to adapt your coaching style to the needs of kids ages 2 to 8.
- Physical ability to stand, jog, and model soccer skills for children.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to obtain all state-required clearances for coaches.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Boise, Idaho.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid per session for coaching at $18 per session, and $15 per hour for administrative tasks.
- Schedule: Rolling start date with flexible hours.
