About the role#
The Summer 2027 Commercial Banking Internship is a 10-week program designed to introduce undergraduate students to banking operations, strategy, and career paths. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure to financial solutions and industry insights. The program includes an orientation week, mentorship, a speaker series with senior leaders, and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify client needs.
- Assist with financial spreads, due diligence on potential borrowers, and loan document reviews.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, credit analysts, and team leaders on business initiatives.
- Support marketing activities to improve client engagement.
- Participate in workshops, training sessions, and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics.
- 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach to learning.
- High attention to detail.

- This is an on-site role based in Columbia, South Carolina.
- The position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
