About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers an introduction to commercial banking operations and strategy. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure to financial solutions and the credit culture at SouthState Bank. The program includes workshops, training sessions, and networking opportunities with peers and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify client needs.
- Assist with financial spreads, due diligence on potential borrowers, and loan document reviews.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, credit analysts, and team leaders on business initiatives.
- Support marketing activities to improve client engagement.
- Participate in all scheduled program activities, including training sessions and workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics.
- A 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
- An analytical mindset and a willingness to learn.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- The role requires 40 hours per week in an office environment.
