About the role#
Join the IT Cyber Security Team for a summer internship focused on the security architecture of IT systems. You will work with subject matter experts to design, implement, and support security controls that protect information system assets. This role involves hands-on experience with security operations and contributes to the safety of critical IT infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal staff on security concerns through research, interviews, and assessment reports.
- Manage security tools, appliances, and systems to maintain logical and physical security controls.
- Assist with security event monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Support compliance with internal security controls and external regulatory requirements.
- Deliver a final presentation at the end of the term to showcase knowledge gained.
What you'll need#
- Current college student entering your senior year pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, IT systems, and technology solutions.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, as this position does not support employment visas.
Location & details#
- Location: Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 to 12 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Format: Hybrid and on-site with rotations to various IT departments.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with housing available if needed.
