About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027 based in Carmel, Indiana. You will work on-site for 40 hours per week. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship, including OPT or CPT.
What you'll do#
- Support cybersecurity operations by building automations, improving detections, analyzing logs, and assisting with threat hunts.
- Identify suspicious activity and investigate incidents using industry tools.
- Strengthen team defenses and improve internal processes by identifying recurring issues and proposing practical solutions.
- Participate in community service, intern socials, and professional development programming.
- Deliver a final presentation covering your project work, recommendations, and impact.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Network Security, or Information Technology.
- Completed coursework or projects in networking, operating systems, cybersecurity fundamentals, incident response, scripting, or log analysis.
- Ability to use or learn tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Ironscales, ServiceNow, GitHub, SIEM, EDR, and NDR.
- Proficiency in languages including Python, PowerShell, SQL, KQL, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain technical problems in clear, simple language.
- A curious and collaborative approach to diagnosing problems and improving workflows.
