About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will help customers find the right eyewear to meet their visual needs. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to provide advice and ensure each pair of glasses fits correctly. This role involves collaborating with both retail and clinical teams to maintain high standards of service.
What you'll do#
- Help customers understand their optical prescriptions and visual requirements.
- Guide customers through the selection of frames and lenses for comfort and style.
- Use digital tools to take accurate dispensing measurements.
- Manage after-care services and resolve customer complaints.
- Assist with daily store operations, including inventory management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry post-secondary program.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in an optical dispensary.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Vaughan, Ontario.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week including weekends.
- Status: Paid internship.
