About the role#
The Design Engineer Intern supports our team in designing and developing solutions that meet client requirements. You will work on engineering studies for products, components, and structures. This role involves reviewing engineering proposals and technical data to build practical skills through hands-on collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, machines, equipment, and processes.
- Create engineering drawings, bills of material, calculations, and routings.
- Collaborate with design engineers and cross-functional teams to analyze data and determine the feasibility of product proposals.
- Prepare product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Gather technical and vendor information for special and engineered-to-order requests.
- Document design details and maintain accurate records using internal systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and technical resources.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to real-world problems, including basic calculations and analytical thinking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to managing tasks independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with engineering tools, CAD, or ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
