About the role#
Springhill Medical Center is hiring a Respiratory Therapy Student to work on-site in Mobile, Alabama. This is a full-time, unpaid internship position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
You will support the respiratory care team by performing clinical tasks and assisting with patient care. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing patient evaluations
- Administering aerosol drugs
- Managing airways
- Handling invasive and non-invasive ventilator management
- Conducting blood gas analysis
- Assisting with bedside bronchoscopy and pulmonary functions
- Teaching patients
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Respiratory Care program
- Completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
