    About the role#

    This internship provides an opportunity to support the Florida Department of Transportation’s Strategic Development Office. You will work with the financial and business support team, including the Office of Modal Development. The role is part-time, offering 10 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Handle special projects for the Chief Strategy Officer.
    • Support Modal Development program areas, including Aviation, Freight and Rail, Seaport, Spaceport, and Transit.
    • Run financial data reports and create pivot tables to analyze data elements.
    • Monitor data on the Modal Development Grants Performance Power BI dashboard.
    • Check daily reports to ensure funds, budgets, and cost allocations are balanced.
    • Assist with monitoring operating budget activities and conduct data research.
    • Provide general support to the finance staff and update SharePoint office sites.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.

    • Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
    • Status: Part-time, paid internship.
