About the role#
Stout is hiring a Consulting Intern for our Strategy group in Arlington, Virginia. This is a 10-week, full-time, on-site program for Summer 2027. You will work alongside professionals on client engagements for Fortune 500 companies, gaining experience in the Professional Services or Industrials practices.
What you'll do#
- Support hypothesis generation to inform research and analytical approaches.
- Compile secondary research and gather insights.
- Conduct primary research through executive-level interviews.
- Design and develop Excel-based models, including P&L forecasts and market models.
- Synthesize findings and recommendations for client deliverables.
- Use data, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support analysis.
- Participate in company-sponsored networking events and contribute to the office atmosphere.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
- A minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Strong business acumen, analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to master new subject areas quickly and manage multiple tasks.
- A self-starter mentality with comfort using generative AI tools.
- An aptitude for on-the-job learning and networking.

- Compensation: $17,700 for the internship duration.
