About the role#
We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer Intern to join our team in Chicago. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer of 2027. The role is on-site and requires significant travel, as you will spend most of the summer working on an out of town project assignment.
What you'll do#
As an intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to real projects while developing your professional skills. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing project management support
- Assisting with estimating and budget preparation
- Managing job costs and tracking production rates
- Supporting client relations, safety management, and quality control
- Contributing to business development activities
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with computers
- A positive outlook and team spirit
