About the role#
Sundt Construction is looking for engineering and construction management students to join our team as an Advanced Facilities Intern. This role provides hands-on experience on projects across the United States, allowing you to participate in the day-to-day work required to build our projects. We are looking for students who are curious and ready to learn.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
- Prepare reports, conduct safety inspections, and manage submittal logs.
- Perform surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing filing.
- Monitor subcontractors, check schedules, and manage inventory.
- Attend bid openings and conferences to take notes and complete forms.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors for proposals.
- Work as a manual laborer, helper, or technician assistant as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, hardhats, and safety glasses.
- Ability to stand, walk, or perform physical tasks for the duration of a shift.
