About the role#
Suntec Concrete offers a Summer 2027 internship for students pursuing a four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management. You will gain hands-on experience by applying classroom theory to active construction projects. You will work with a dedicated mentor and receive feedback from project managers, superintendents, and foremen throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the construction of cast-in-place footings, grade beams, columns, walls, slab-on-grade, and slab-on-formed deck.
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Gain experience in form construction, reinforcement installation, concrete placement, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Assist with project scheduling, cost estimation, and quality control.
- Help resolve challenges related to project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Participate in a capstone mock interview exercise where you present a project approach to company executives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical construction scenarios.
