About the role#
Suntec Concrete offers a summer internship for students pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on experience by applying classroom theory to real-world projects. You will work with a dedicated mentor and receive regular performance feedback from project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the construction of cast-in-place footings, grade beams, columns, walls, slab-on-grade, and slab-on-formed deck.
- Support the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Gain experience in form construction, reinforcement installation, concrete placement, and quality assurance.
- Work alongside project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Assist in project scheduling, cost estimation, and quality control measures.
- Help navigate and resolve challenges related to project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Participate in a capstone exercise during the final week, which includes a mock project presentation to company executives.
