About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring a Plumbing Engineering Summer Intern for our Los Angeles office. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site with our engineering teams to support designs for technical buildings and mechanical systems.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
- Create AutoCAD and Revit drawings for mechanical systems.
- Help with design calculations and sizing for building mechanical systems.
- Join field investigations and construction site visits to observe project progress.
- Participate in the intern education program, including lunch-and-learn sessions on various business topics.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Interest in plumbing design.
- Completion of at least your second year of university.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite and design or calculation software.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Experience with the latest version of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.

- Compensation: $24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
