About the role#
Taft College is hiring a Student Worker to support food service operations. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position based in Taft, California.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring food is ready on time.
- Maintain cleanliness by washing utensils, cleaning ovens, sanitizing work areas, and mopping cafeteria floors.
- Manage inventory by stocking snack bars, drink machines, and rotating supplies.
- Operate cash registers, process sales, and balance cash drawers at the end of your shift.
- Track meal plan usage and prepare basic reports.
- Secure the facility by opening or locking cafeteria doors depending on your shift.
- Handle trash removal and transport food according to safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- Good standing status with the college, which must be maintained throughout your employment.
