About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop management skills. This role focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and operations. You will complete orientation and leadership training while providing weekly progress updates to management.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide service throughout the store.
- Answer questions about merchandise and help guests find what they need.
- Achieve personal sales goals set by store management.
- Place special orders or contact other stores to locate merchandise.
- Manage a specific product category to set goals and track results.
- Perform operational tasks including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Complete teammate orientation and provide weekly progress updates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a relevant field.
- No prior experience or training is necessary for this role.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
