About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of Buckle’s retail business. You will focus on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while developing your leadership, recruiting, and merchandising skills. This role is a full-time, paid internship based in Modesto, California.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance using the Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, register procedures, and maintaining store displays.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
