About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the fundamentals of retail business management. You will work directly with the Store Manager to understand store operations and leadership. This role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and creating merchandise displays.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is required for this position.
