About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works directly with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop management skills. You will contribute to our mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while performing daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks. This role is a full-time, on-site opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Perform sales floor tasks including cashiering, merchandise display, and organizing freight.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Assist guests by recommending merchandise, answering questions, and building relationships.
- Maintain store standards for cleanliness and organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
