About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the company operates and what it takes to succeed in a management role. This is a paid, on-site internship based in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide helpful service.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking results.
- Handle store operations including cashiering, merchandise display, and routine cleaning.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications at a four-year college or university.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
