About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on delivering a positive shopping experience for our guests. You will work closely with the store management team to learn how the retail business operates and what is required to excel in a leadership role. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Santa Rosa, California.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and creating merchandise displays.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the management manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Collaborate with teammates and guests to identify product improvements and share feedback.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You are physically able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
