About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern at The Buckle, Inc., you will work closely with the store management team to learn the retail business from the ground up. This role focuses on developing your leadership, recruiting, and merchandising skills while you contribute to the store's daily operations and guest experience. You will receive hands-on training through the Buckle Management Manual and gain experience in managing specific product categories.
What you'll do#
- Complete core training modules covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and the hiring process.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking performance results.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics using company tools.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- The physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
