    About the role#

    As a Process Control Engineering Co-Op or Intern, you will be based at the K1 or K2 milling sites in Esterhazy. You will support process control and process engineering improvement projects while learning core fundamentals. This role provides hands-on experience in an industrial setting, helping you develop technical skills and gain insight into process optimization.

    What you'll do#

    • Support process control and process engineering improvement projects for milling operations.
    • Learn process control fundamentals and troubleshoot daily operations.
    • Contribute to ongoing site initiatives and system validation for new projects.
    • Support circuit optimization efforts through field checks, KPI tracking, and performance monitoring.
    • Develop and implement online production monitoring dashboards using PI visualization tools.
    • Participate in site safety initiatives, including near-miss reporting and risk reduction programs.
    • Communicate and collaborate with plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least your third year of study by January 2027 in Chemical, Industrial Systems, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
    • Ability to function effectively in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
    • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
    • Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status.
    • Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn.
    • Effective verbal communication skills are preferred.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs, working at heights, and occasionally working outdoors in varying temperatures.

    • Location: Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027, beginning January 10, 2027, for up to 12 months.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
