About the role#
The Tax Accounting Co-Op/Intern will work with the tax department to gain experience in tax compliance and transformation. You will receive ongoing feedback on your performance and work on projects alongside professionals in the field.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal, state, and international income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
- Assist with quarterly tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including book-to-tax differences.
- Analyze tax data to support compliance and financial reporting.
- Respond to tax notices and audit information requests.
- Use digital tools to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Communicate with personnel across the organization, including management, engineers, and contractors.
- Attend department and project-specific meetings.
What you'll need#
- Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Foundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and reporting tools is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, and work at various heights.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of pre-placement screenings, including drug and alcohol testing, background check, and physical examination.
Location & details#
- Location: Plymouth, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 10 to August 20).
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 to 40 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid.
