About the role#
The Nuclear Company builds the software that makes modern nuclear power possible. You will join the Platform Integration and AI/Data squad to work on the Nuclear Operating System (NOS). This system manages the regulatory, supply chain, cost, and field work requirements for real reactor construction. You will build AI tools that help teams construct power plants.
What you'll do#
- Ship ML and AI features inside NOS applications used for site evaluation, scheduling, and project management.
- Build AI agents and workflows that operate against NOS data and tools.
- Develop data pipelines and integrations across Palantir Foundry and AWS GovCloud.
- Build predictive and anomaly-detection models to support engineering decisions.
- Own model quality end-to-end by developing evaluation criteria and regression suites to keep results reproducible.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Strong Python fundamentals and hands-on experience with modern ML and LLM tooling.
- A track record of shipping working software or ML projects.
- U.S. Person status, as this role requires access to information subject to U.S. export controls.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington DC, five days a week, for the full six-month term.
