About the role#
As a DevOps/SRE intern, you will work on projects across our technology stack. You will help automate the building, testing, and deployment of trading applications. Your work supports our software development and contributes to the firm's operations. You will interact with traders and technology teams to balance system reliability with new improvements.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily support for our proprietary trading environment.
- Work with traders and the IT team to automate and maintain deployment, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design monitoring and alerting systems to diagnose issues in real time.
- Build and maintain infrastructure to ensure the health of our trading environment.
- Collaborate on designing applications to meet automation requirements.
- Manage automated server provisioning and keep infrastructure components up to date.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fluency in Python or another programming language.
- Proficiency with code collaboration tools like git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Understanding of container technology like Docker and infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Puppet.

- This is an on-site role based in Chicago, Illinois.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
