About the role#
As a Quantitative Trader Intern, you will work alongside Junior and Senior Traders to learn the mechanics of global markets. You will gain hands-on experience in risk transfer and price discovery while contributing to the firm's trading operations.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain quantitative models and analytical tools.
- Develop a deep understanding of relative value market fundamentals.
- Analyze real-time trades as they happen.
- Participate in formal classroom-style education programs and research projects.
- Assist the trading team with daily tasks and strategy development.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related technical field.
- You have 1-2 years of experience with Python programming.
- You maintain a minimum major GPA of 3.5/4 or the equivalent.
- You have completed coursework in Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Probability, and Advanced Statistics.
- You show a clear interest in financial markets, trading, and finance.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at our office in Chicago, Illinois.
