About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program (CPDP) Intern role offers an introduction to the insurance industry. You will gain experience through hands-on training, client contact, and loss assessment. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Alpharetta, Georgia. We review applications on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Complete structured onboarding to learn internal systems and protocols.
- Review Personal and Business Insurance claims ranging from basic to moderate complexity.
- Learn strategies for investigating, negotiating, and resolving claims.
- Determine coverage, estimate damages, and document the details of what happened.
- Communicate with customers through verbal and written channels.
- Observe claim professionals during desk work and ride-alongs.
- Partner with a manager or mentor to complete core assignments.
- Build skills in customer service, analytics, and problem-solving.
- Execute project work throughout the term.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
