About the role#
This is a two-year fellowship for graduate students currently enrolled in a Healthcare Administration program. The position offers a structured approach to learning hospital operations. Year one focuses on rotating through various departments under the guidance of senior leaders to gain a broad view of administration. In year two, you will work within a single department under one supervisor to focus on specific projects and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Act as a technical resource for the analysis and evaluation of operational and financial functions.
- Conduct statistical analysis of operational indicators to identify strengths, weaknesses, and business opportunities.
- Assist in developing and implementing operational plans, procedures, and systems.
- Review current systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Interpret and present data analysis results, including the explanation of financial techniques and assumptions.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and committees.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration.
- Completion of the didactic portion of a Master of Health Administration program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Access, and Word.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
