    About the role#

    This position is a temporary role for students currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. You will work under the direction of a Medical Director and licensed respiratory care practitioners to assist in patient care settings. This role is intended to support your development until you obtain a limited permit from the State Medical Board of Ohio. Please note that employment in this category ends if the limited permit is not obtained within the department timeframe.

    What you'll do#

    • Assemble equipment and circuitry with all necessary supplies and accessories.
    • Clean and disinfect department equipment following infection control guidelines.
    • Transport supplies to and from central processing.
    • Restock inventory levels in store rooms for licensed RCPs.
    • Perform EKGs and other tasks as directed by a licensed RCP.
    • Develop assessment skills under the guidance of experienced staff.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
    • Enrollment in an approved program for a field of study in Allied Health.
    • Knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and respiratory care sciences.
    • Familiarity with relevant pharmacology.

    • Location: Bethesda North Hospital, 10500 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Optional, with a preference for nights and rotating weekends and holidays.
