About the role#
Based in Huntsville, Ontario, the Geotechnical Engineering Technician will support the engineering team across various project stages. This is a 4-month student position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site and assist with project delivery while gaining exposure to geotechnical engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Managers with project delivery tasks.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed designs and drawings.
- Perform soil classification, borehole logging, and sampling.
- Carry out construction inspection and monitoring activities.
- Support the team with geotechnical modeling and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant field such as Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering, or Natural Resources.
- Experience using analytical and design software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- A valid Class G driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork and site inspections.
