About the role#
This internship focuses on the Community and Citizenship division at Turner Construction Company in Nashville. You will support our team by identifying business partnerships and building local networks. The role involves documenting outreach efforts and sharing information through social media channels. You will report directly to the Community and Citizenship Director or Manager.
What you'll do#
- Help brainstorm, plan, and promote outreach events for projects, subcontractors, and employees.
- Support Turner Service Projects and assist with building community network contacts.
- Conduct research and create presentations for information sessions.
- Expand social media resources and update content to showcase our outreach activities.
- Interact with community networks, attend trade shows, and engage with local economic organizations that support underrepresented businesses.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university, ideally in Communications, Marketing, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including experience with student leadership or volunteerism.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Capability to conduct research online and create presentations using charts and tables.
- Skill in using social media platforms for professional communication.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn our business strategy, culture, and core values.
