About the role#
Turner Construction Company offers internship and co-op opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on active project sites or within office departments to build your knowledge of project financials, safety protocols, and construction lifecycles. This role is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Assist with processing shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Monitor contractor compliance with the company safety program.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Attend project site visits to observe and document construction field activities.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to comprehend and follow project site signage.
- Willingness to participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
