About the role#
Turner Construction Company hires interns and co-ops for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Boston, Massachusetts. You will work under supervision to support construction project development, safety, and daily operations. This role is designed to help you apply your academic studies to real project environments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily project activities, including site visits, document control, and progress reporting.
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Help prepare shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and quantity take-offs.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to track job schedules.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Prepare estimates for changes in work and distribute subcontractor proposals.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs and follow site protocols.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- At least one year of completed education.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- A strong desire to build a career in construction management.
- Ability to work standard business hours and overtime when required.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Personal accountability and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
