About the role#
This internship is an opportunity to apply machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to complex systems. You will spend roughly 10 weeks during the summer working on a specific research project or idea. You will work alongside scientists and academics to improve our understanding of how financial data influences the world.
What you'll do#
- Develop techniques and infrastructure for a specific research project.
- Write code to implement and test artificial intelligence models.
- Run experiments and analyze results in a research environment.
- Discuss technical approaches and findings with team members.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a STEM field. This role is open to students in their penultimate year of study.
- Excellent programming skills in Python with deep knowledge of Tensorflow or PyTorch.
- Practical experience using Deep Learning, Large Language Models, or Reinforcement Learning.
- Experience with cloud computing environments and multi-machine setups.
- An understanding of basic statistics.
- Experience with data pipelines for large, noisy datasets is preferred, as is prior research experience.

- Location: New York, NY.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Weekly base pay is $5,000 for MS students and $5,500 for PhD students. This role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and additional wellness benefits.
