About the role#
The Analytics Intern supports the Warehousing Analytics team in developing data, automation, and AI-enabled solutions for logistics and warehouse operations. This role focuses on hands-on development and experimentation to solve operational business problems. You will work with warehouse and logistics data covering areas such as labor, inventory, throughput, and maintenance costs.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, research, and documentation.
- Apply rapid prototyping and AI-assisted coding to turn business ideas into working proofs of concept.
- Develop lightweight web applications, analytical tools, and user-facing solutions.
- Perform SQL development, data validation, exploratory analysis, and basic data modeling.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting and administrative processes.
- Partner with analysts, engineers, and business users to document solutions and business rules.
- Complete an end-to-end internship project and present your results to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with at least one year of school remaining.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Curiosity and a willingness to experiment with new technologies to build practical solutions.
Location & details#
- This is a rolling, full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site at the Tyson Foods headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas.
- You must live within a 50-mile commutable range of the office year-round.
