    About the role#

    This internship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in product development. You will work alongside food scientists to create new products and processes for beef, pork, and chicken. The role covers the manufacturing process for brands like Tyson, Hillshire Farms, Jimmy Dean, Ball Park, and State Fair. You will complete specific projects focused on cost-saving, quality improvement, profitability, innovation, or product competitiveness.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist food scientists with product development tasks.
    • Manage assigned projects throughout the summer.
    • Participate in the manufacturing process for company brands.
    • Prepare a final report and presentation on your project results.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's (incoming junior or senior) or master's degree program.
    • Preferred majors include Biology, Chemistry, or Agriculture.
    • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to multi-task effectively.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Springdale, Arkansas.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
    • Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
    • Note: Housing is provided for candidates located outside of a 50-mile radius.
