    About the role#

    As a Corporate Relations Intern at Union Pacific, you will help tell the story of the company to employees, customers, and the public. You will gain hands-on experience by creating content, supporting communication campaigns, and contributing to digital storytelling efforts. This role allows you to work alongside experienced professionals while developing your research, writing, and project management skills.

    What you'll do#

    • Write and edit content for internal and external audiences, including news releases and social media.
    • Maintain content across corporate, social, and internal communication platforms.
    • Track communication effectiveness by analyzing metrics and creating monitoring reports.
    • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects to support communication initiatives.
    • Build professional relationships with colleagues across various departments.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
    • Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
    • Strong writing skills with proficiency in AP Style.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to commute to Omaha, Nebraska for work.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
    • Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during the summer.
    • Work Modality: On-site at the Union Pacific Center with some flexibility for remote work as approved by your manager.
    • Compensation: $21-$25 per hour.
